So, this may sound strange, but classic saucepan<\/a>  was one of my favorite mall stops when I was a kid. When my mom and I went window shopping on weekends, I secretly hoped we’d stop by the awning-covered cookware store to meander through the aisles of set tables and artisan foods\u2014especially around Christmastime, when the seasonal products made me even more excited. I fantasized about one day building my own kitchen and imagining which glasses, plates, and gadgets I’d choose from the shelves to suit my own adult needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking back on these memories made me realize two things: one, that my current job suits me even better than I realized; and two, that I would approach a review of the brand’s latest cookware with subconsciously high expectations. That piqued my interest even more, and I couldn’t wait to put it to the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sur La Table’s cookware collection includes enameled cast iron, 5-ply stainless steel, ceramic nonstick, and hard anodized nonstick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sur La Table announced the launch of its own chef-approved cookware line to commemorate its 50th anniversary in 2022. The collection includes classic pots and pans in a variety of materials\u2014enameled cast iron, 5-ply stainless steel, ceramic nonstick, and hard anodized nonstick\u2014to meet a wide range of kitchen needs. It complements the existing Sur La Table kitchen product line, which includes everything from glassware to pantry staples to cooking utensils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cookware line launched earlier this year, and is available in-store and on Sur La Table website. Pricing for individual pieces starts at $69.95, and pricing for sets starts at $99.95.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get a sense of the line, we tried some of Sur La Table’s 5-ply stainless steel cookware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chose the classic, 5-ply stainless steel two-piece skillet set\u2014available in 8- and 10-inch sizes\u2014as well as the classic saucepan in the same material.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The skillets and classic saucepan<\/a>  are both dishwasher safe and oven safe up to 500\u00b0F. The stainless materials are combined with aluminum to increase heat conductivity and distribute heat evenly throughout the skillets; the skillets are also combined with copper to increase searing capabilities even further. All of these have a rounded interior and dripless edges to make every step of the cooking process a little easier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
